My love of colour and texture was developed during my Textile degree in London , where I went on to work in the fashion industry as a print and knitwear designer. Retraining as an Art and Textile teacher , which eventually brought me over to New Zealand. 

I left full time teaching to concentrate on my own practice of non-representational abstracts inspired by past and present concepts. 

Working in acrylic , multiple layers of paint and collage are embedded into panels to reveal hidden images , numbers and text. Uncovering what lies beneath the surface is my on-going passion.

I offer workshops and mentoring  at my studio in Takaka alongside larger classes at various locations around the top of the South.
